Seven Affordable Homes Completed in Grimscott

Sanctuary Housing and Cornwall Council have completed seven affordable local needs houses for the small village of Grimscott, in North Cornwall.

Completed in January 2013, these much-needed affordable homes were built by Kier Living with detailed design works completed by architects Studio Arc, marking their first finished affordable housing project since being established just over a year ago.

Robbie Walyon, Managing Director of Studio Arc, said:

“We are extremely pleased to have our first development finished and the tenants moving in. The design of the dwellings is sympathetic to its rural context and existing neighbours, and the upstairs bedrooms have en suite facilities with fantastic views over the adjoining countryside. The residents will no doubt love living in their new homes.”

The spacious accommodation is built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, to include air source units and ample rear gardens, including storage and parking facilities.

Robbie Walton established Studio Arc in early 2012 with John Duncan. Alongside their growing professional team they look forward to many more successful housing projects in the coming years.
